100-Day Plucky Challenge
Q: What is a Plucky Challenge?
It is a free 100-Day challenge to build courageous resilience. By doing something every day that scares you a little bit, you will slowly build your courage muscles. This is what being plucky is all about. The willingness to show up each day changes you and makes you a little braver each time.
Q: Why 100 days?
A 100-day challenge provides a clear timeframe (March 1-June 9, 2025 for this round) and encourages daily progress by repeating brave action consistently.
Q: Does it have to be the same thing I’m scared of every day?
Nope! Pick whatever you want. It can be big or small. Choose one thing or a variety of actions. You can plan it in advance or decide on each day what you want to do.
Q: How do I choose what to do each day?
Think about what makes you a little nervous but excites you. It could be speaking up in a meeting, trying a new skill, or sharing your work publicly. The key is to stretch your comfort zone in small, manageable ways. For example, it’s been a dream of mine for many years to write a book. I’m finally doing it! I show up every day to the page, and consider that a win regardless of how many words I put down.
Q: Do I have to post on social media?
Absolutely not! But if you do, tag me @carriejobradley and use the hashtag #pluckychallenge, and I’ll cheer you on. Maybe I’ll even give some prizes for plucky people. Part of the challenge for me is posting consistently and gaining confidence talking on video. As Brené Brown said, “Courage starts with showing up and letting ourselves be seen.”
Q: What if I miss a day?
It’s OK! This is about being plucky–not perfect! If you’re doing something for 100 days, it’s not a big deal if you miss one day here and there. We’re building consistency and progress, not perfection. Start where you left off, no shame.
Q: Can I start later?
Absolutely! While the challenge officially starts on March 1, you can jump in anytime. The important part is committing to consistent courageous action, whenever you begin.
Q: How do I stay motivated for 100 days?
Remind yourself why you started, track your progress, and celebrate small wins. If you start feeling stuck, let me know. I’m here to support you. When you sign up, I’ll give you a 100-day tracker where you can check off one day at a time. If you know someone who would benefit, please invite them too. I will send encouragement emails periodically, so make sure they’re on my list!
